Elkhorn / Staghorn Care 101
Staghorns and Elkhorns are similar plants. The Staghorn Fern is one single plant (single eye) where the Elkhorn Fern is made up of many smaller plants (multiple eyes).
Both species grow in warm, humid forests and caring of them is pretty much the same.
Light
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light.
Water
Water every 1–2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings. Keep these ferns slightly dry in cold winter weather.
This plant can benefit from extra humidity.
Pets
This plant is pet friendly!
