Dianella Wyeena

Wyeena Dianella is a frost tolerant grass-like plant with striking variegated foliage with an upright to arching habit. It forms lush clumps making it excellent as a small accent plant, in group plantings or en masse for colour contrast. Also excellent as a border or strip planting along pathways or driveways. Ensure the crown of the plant is not below soil level to avoid crown rot, and trim older leaves annually. Recommended planting density of 2-5 plants per square metre, or 1.5-3 plants per linear metre. 80-90cm height and width.

Water: Water well and often when freshly planted. Drought tolerant once established.

Sun: Part shade. Not full sun tolerant in Perth.

Soil: Fertile, well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. We recommend using Aussie Organics Premium Soil Conditioner and Charlie Charcoal prior to planting.
