Ficus Midnight Beauty

A special selection of Ficus benjamina, Ficus Midnight Beauty has dark green foliage that starts out grass green, darkening as it ages to almost black. Ficus Midnight Beauty has a spreading weeping habit with a conical shape, making it a great shade tree in small to medium gardens. Also ideal for pots and large containers both indoors and out, this is an extremely versatile tree for the garden, the patio, or any bright indoor space. Very tolerant of a variety of lighting conditions and drought tolerant once established. Prune to shape as required, can be topped to maintain a preferred height. For enhanced growth we recommend using Troforte M Indoor & Patio Slow Release fertiliser at half the recommended application rate. Ficus Evergreen reaches 9m height and 5m width if not pruned to shape or contain.

Water: Water well and often when freshly planted and during hotter periods. In the garden, use a chunky mulch, we recommend using Aussie Organics Chunky Pine Bark.

Sun: Indoors, in bright indirect to full sun (North, South or East facing windows). Outdoors in full sun to full shade or dappled positions.

Soil: In the garden a fertile, well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. We recommend using Aussie Organics Premium Soil Conditioner and Charlie Charcoal prior to planting. Indoors a well-draining, fertile indoor mix. We recommend using The Home Plant Co Indoor Potting Mix.
