Acmena Cherry Surprise

Cherry Surprise Acmena produces extraordinarily vivid crimson-red new growth - the name describes exactly what you see when the new flush emerges: a plant that looks like it is covered in cherries. The colour matures to deep green, and the plant flushes several times through the warmer months. It grows to around 2-3m and is excellent as a hedge or feature shrub where seasonal foliage colour matters as much as screening density. Strong psyllid resistance. Full sun to part shade. Adaptable soils. Water while establishing. Low-phosphorus native fertiliser.
