Mirror Plant has extraordinarily glossy foliage - the common name comes from the almost lacquer-like shine of the leaves. Modern cultivars have developed this quality into a range of foliage colours from lime green through gold, bronze, orange, and deep burgundy that shift and intensify through the seasons. Full sun to part shade. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Light pruning to maintain shape. Middlemore is an upright, compact form with deep green, highly glossy foliage - more restrained in colour than the variegated forms but outstanding in texture.
