Lavender is completely at home in Perth's Mediterranean climate. Full sun. Very well-drained soil - waterlogging is the most common cause of death. Sandy Perth soils are ideal. Minimal watering once established. Prune by up to one-third immediately after flowering. Do not cut into bare woody stems.
