Where Eureka is sharp and classic, Meyer is rounder, sweeter and more fragrant - a cross between a lemon and a mandarin that produces fruit with thinner skin and lower acidity. It's the better choice for small gardens and courtyard pots, growing more compactly than Eureka and handling Perth's cooler winter nights with ease. Popular with anyone who finds regular lemons too tart, and outstanding for lemon curd, cocktails, and baking. Full sun, good drainage, deep watering, citrus fertiliser twice a year.
