Raspberry Heritage
Bred in the US sometime in the 1960’s, this vigorous and hardy raspberry is perfectly suited to our long hot summers and mild autumns. Raspberry Heritage fruits on this season's canes, and is wonderfully easy to grow and maintain. Prune to the ground after fruiting in late winter and fruit will be ready to harvest again in autumn on fresh growth. Provide a trellis or frame at planting to contain growth and for ease of harvest. For enhanced growth and fruiting we recommend using Troforte M Fruit & Citrus Slow Release fertiliser. Raspberry Heritage will grow to reach 1.2m height and 50cm width.
Water: Water well and often when freshly planted and during warmer seasons. Use a chunky mulch, we recommend using Aussie Organics Chunky Pine Bark.
Sun: Full sun, ideally north facing and west protected.
Soil: Fertile, well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. We recommend using Aussie Organics Premium Soil Conditioner and Charlie Charcoal prior to planting.
