Acer Platanoides Crimson Sentry Maple

Crimson Sentry is a narrow, upright Norwegian Maple producing deep burgundy-red foliage on a strongly columnar tree that grows to around 8-12m in height while staying under 3m wide. The combination of vivid foliage colour and tight upright form makes it one of the more useful large-scale formal trees for Perth gardens. It holds its red foliage colour through the growing season and develops good autumn tones before leaf drop. Best in Perth's Hills and cooler southern suburbs where cold winters produce the fullest colour range. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Water while establishing.
