Agapanthus is a clump-forming plant from dense fleshy roots with strong, arching dark green leaves. These plants produce vibrant globes of tubular white flowers atop 1m long, erect stalks in early summer.

The thick, fleshy roots mean the plant stores its water, energy and food, making it an extraordinary drought-resilient plant for poor soil. They will also tolerate cold and dry periods once established. 

Remove dead flower stalks and leaves to keep tidy.

Sun: Full sun or partial shade.

Water: Drought tolerate however will benefit from regular watering.

Soil: Well drained soil. Improve soil with soil conditioner or cow manure when planting.
