Alocasia Regal Shield

Alocasia hold their leaves upright on tall stems, which is what separates them from the drooping Colocasia they are often sold beside. Regal Shield is a hybrid of Alocasia odora and the velvet-leaved Alocasia reginula, carrying large, heart-shaped leaves in deep green with a velvet surface, pale veins and reddish-bronze undersides on strong upright stems. Bright indirect light, never hot direct sun. Keep the potting mix consistently moist but never waterlogged. Warmth and humidity suit them. All parts are toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
