Alternanthera Purple Splash

Add brilliant colour to your garden all year round, Alternanthera Purple Splash is a bushy perennial with great performance in the Perth climate. Foliage is a rich burgundy with soft pink flecks. A fast growing ground cover, Purple Splash is perfect for borders and edges, along pathways, driveways, and low boundaries. An excellent addition to tropical gardens. Drought tolerant once established (typically around 12 weeks), it does benefit from a good soak during heatwaves. For enhanced growth and flowering we recommend using Troforte M All Purpose Slow Release fertiliser. Alternanthera Purple Splash reaches 30cm height and width.

Water: Water well and often when freshly planted. Drought tolerant once established. Use a chunky mulch, we recommend using Aussie Organics Chunky Pine Bark.

Sun: Full sun, part shade.

Soil: Fertile, well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. We recommend using Aussie Organics Premium Soil Conditioner and Charlie Charcoal prior to planting.
