Avocado - Dwarf
The dwarf avocado is a compact tree, making it ideal for smaller gardens or containers. Thrives in warm climates so Western Australia's hot, dry summers and mild winters create an ideal environment for growth. The dwarf variety will reach between 2-3m tall making the perfect tree for the home garden.
Water: Requires regular watering, especially during hot and dry periods. Deep, infrequent watering is recommended to encourage a strong root system. Mulching around the base of the tree can also help retain soil moisture.
Sun: Avocado trees love full sun, they should be planted in a location that receives plenty of sunlight. Ensure that the tree gets at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Soil: Well-draining soil. In Western Australia, where soils can be sandy, it's important to amend the soil with organic matter to improve water retention.
