A striking and productive citrus tree known for its distinctive deep red–fleshed fruit and rich, sweet flavour with hints of berry. Blood Orange is an excellent choice for home gardens, growing to around 3–4m high, and doubles as an attractive feature tree with glossy green foliage and fragrant white flowers. The fruit is ideal for fresh eating, juicing, and desserts.
Water: Moderate water requirements. Water deeply and regularly, particularly during flowering, fruit set, and warm weather. Allow the soil surface to dry slightly between watering once established.
Sun: Prefers full sun for best growth, colour development, and fruit production, though it will tolerate light shade.
Soil: Thrives in well-draining, fertile soil enriched with organic matter. Good drainage is essential for healthy roots and consistent fruiting.
