Bougainvillea is a vining climber that is deciduous in cool to cold areas but evergreen in warm climates. Bougainvillea grows well in warm and tropical areas but also thrives happily in a coastal garden. It only dislikes cold weather and frost. Once established, bougainvillaea is very dry-tolerant and progresses in warm weather with just the occasional heavy watering.
Water: Water regularly until well established, and then occasional heavy watering once mature.
Sun: Full sun.
Soil: Well draining soil, or premium potting mix if grown in a container.
