Buddleia Chrysalis Purple
Butterfly Bush produces long, fragrant flower spikes that are magnetic to butterflies - the tubular flowers are one of the most reliable sources of butterfly nectar in the garden. Chrysalis Purple is a dwarf selection, under a metre tall and about 80cm wide, carrying purple-mauve flower spikes from spring through autumn that draw butterflies and bees. It is compact enough for a pot or a small garden. Full sun to part shade. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Prune hard in late winter to encourage fresh growth and the best flowering.
