Caladium Purple Light

Caladiums are tropical tuber plants grown for paper-thin, brilliantly patterned leaves that are unlike almost anything else in the indoor plant world. Native to tropical South America, they grow actively through the warmer months then die back completely in winter - this dormancy is normal and expected, not a sign of failure. The tubers rest through winter and reshoot in spring. They need warmth, humidity, and bright indirect light to perform well. Purple Light produces large leaves in deep purple-pink with contrasting green margins - the purple tone is rich and unusual in the Caladium range. The colour is most vivid in bright indirect light. Bright indirect light. Warm position. Keep soil consistently moist during the growing season. Allow to die back naturally in winter.
