Calliandra Pink Poodle

Calliandra surinamensis is an evergreen shrub or small tree from tropical South America, with fine, fern-like foliage and soft pink powder-puff flowers held along the branches from spring. Full sun to part shade. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Frost tender, so give it a warm, sheltered position. Prune occasionally to keep it dense. Pink Poodle is a multi-trunked, low-branching selection growing to around 3 metres tall and wide, used as a feature plant or a soft screen in subtropical-style gardens.
