Camellia Volunteer

Camellia Volunteer is a compact red double flowering japonica type with flamingo pink edges, a compact grower overall. They are bountiful flowering plants and hardy in Perth. Camellias are ideal for planting as a specimen, for dense screen or in a pot. Perfect for any backyard garden or courtyard, small or large. Sasanqua varieties will tolerate more sun than the shade loving Japonica varieties so ensure this one has some protection. For enhanced growth and flowering we recommend using Troforte M Roses Azaleas Camellias Slow Release fertiliser. Camellia Volunteer reaches 5m height and 4m width.

Water: Water well and often when freshly planted and during warmer seasons. Use a chunky mulch, we recommend using Aussie Organics Chunky Pine Bark.

Sun: Full sun, ideally north facing and west protected.

Soil: Fertile, well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. We recommend using Aussie Organics Premium Soil Conditioner and Charlie Charcoal prior to planting. In pots use Camellia Azalea Potting Mix.
