Camellia Volunteer

Camellias produce spectacular flowers in autumn and winter when little else is in colour. They prefer slightly acidic soil and protection from hot afternoon sun. Full shade. Slightly acidic, well-drained but moisture-retentive soil. Mulch heavily. Water consistently. Feed with an acid-forming fertiliser after flowering. Hybrid Volunteer is a vigorous, reliable hybrid with good cold tolerance - produces strong pink flowers over a long season.
