Dianella Tasmanica Tasred

Dianella is one of the hardest-working plants in the Perth garden - tough, adaptable, long-lived, and effective across an enormous range of conditions from full sun to part shade. Tasman Red is a selection from the Tasmanian Flax Lily species, with strong, dark green leaves with deep red colouration at the stem bases. It is more tolerant of humidity and occasional waterlogging than the revoluta-type Dianellas, which makes it a better choice for Perth's wetter southern suburbs and garden positions that receive more irrigation. Full sun to part shade. Adaptable soils. Drought tolerant once established.
