Dietes White Tiger

A South African iris relative producing elegant white or cream flowers with distinctive blue or yellow markings, appearing in repeated flushes over most of the year. Dietes is one of the toughest plants in Perth's coastal gardens - tolerating sandy soils, salt, drought, and neglect while maintaining attractive strap-like foliage year-round. Full sun to part shade. Sandy, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Do not remove old flower stems after flowering - new buds develop along the same stem. Divide congested clumps in autumn.
