Dipladenia Appleblossom

Dipladenia is a compact, bushy tropical plant producing large, trumpet-shaped flowers in vivid colours from spring through autumn. More contained than its close relative Mandevilla, it suits pot culture, courtyard planting, and smaller garden positions where a full-sized climber would be too large. Full sun to part shade. Well-drained soil. Water regularly through the growing season. Feed monthly with liquid fertiliser. Protect from frost. Appleblossom produces soft, two-toned flowers opening from a deeper pink bud to a paler, blush-apple-blossom pink at full opening - the colour shift as the flower unfurls is part of the appeal. One of the most delicate-looking Dipladenias, with a gentle, romantic character.
