Blue Fescue forms fine-leaved, compact mounding grasses in distinctive blue-grey tones that function as year-round colour and texture in the garden. Excellent in dry, sunny positions including rock gardens, gravel gardens, and drought-tolerant borders. Full sun. Excellent drainage. Very drought tolerant. Glauca is the standard Blue Fescue - compact, rounded, and reliable, reaching around 25-30cm. The blue-grey colour is consistent year-round and works well as a repeat planting element in contemporary and gravel garden designs.
