Gazania Variegated

Gazanias are South African daisy groundcovers producing vivid, large-petalled flowers that open in full sun and close at night and on overcast days. They are among the most drought-tolerant flowering groundcovers available, thriving in Perth's sandy coastal soils and dry summers with minimal care. Full sun - the flowers only open fully in direct sunlight. Excellent drainage. Very drought tolerant once established. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong the display. Variegated Gazania has cream-edged foliage as well as vivid daisy flowers - the two-toned leaves provide year-round interest in addition to the seasonal flowers. The foliage variegation is most vivid on fresh growth.
