Hakea Laurina Stockdale Sensation

Stockdale Sensation is a selected compact form of Pincushion Hakea - the same extraordinary round crimson flower heads with long cream stamens, produced in autumn and winter, but on a plant that stays to around 2-3m rather than the 4m+ of the standard species. It makes the spectacular Pincushion Hakea flower accessible for medium garden positions and smaller lots where the full species would outgrow the space. The flower heads are produced in good quantity on a dense, well-branched shrub with blue-grey foliage. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Phosphorus-free fertiliser. Drought tolerant once established.
