Hoya Coronaia
Commonly known as the porcelain flower, this hoya produces stunning red-magenta star-shaped flowers that look like porcelain or wax. A reasonably hardy climbing-twining hoya with fuzzy dark green fleshy foliage, it prefers a sheltered position outdoors in dappled or shady spots. Indoors it loves very bright light, with morning sun boosting flowering potential. Can be grown in baskets to cascade or up a trellis or frame. Hoyas grow and flower best when left to fill their pots and become rootbound. Pot up once every 3-5 years depending on growth. For enhanced growth and flowering we recommend using Troforte M Indoor & Patio Slow Release fertiliser. Hoya coronaria reaches approximately 2-3m height and 30 cm width.
Water: Water well and often when freshly planted and during hotter periods.Mildly drought tolerant once established.
Sun: Indoors, in bright indirect or morning sun only (South or East facing windows, or away from North facing windows). Outdoors in full shade or morning sun positions.
Soil: In pots, a well-draining, fertile indoor mix. We recommend using The Home Plant Co Indoor Potting Mix.
