Kangaroo Paw - Anigozanthos Kings Park Royale

Kangaroo Paw is one of Western Australia's signature wildflowers, sending nectar-rich, velvety flowers up on stems above a fan of strappy leaves. Kings Park Royale was bred at Kings Park in Perth for the 25th anniversary of the Friends of Kings Park, and its flowers are a colour breakthrough for the genus, purple and red with a warm orange base. It is a compact form suited to a pot or a native bed, and the stems cut well. Full sun. Free-draining soil. Low-phosphorus native fertiliser. Cut spent stems to the base.
