Leucadendron Argenteum

A South African native, Leucadendron argenteum is a beautiful, eye-catching tree with iridescent silver foliage, prized by florists. Ideal for the smaller garden and great in containers, it's also a beautiful feature tree or informal screening. Prune in late winter to early spring to encourage flowering. Unlike other leucadendrons this one isn’t drought tolerant and requires additional moisture during warmer months. For enhanced growth and flowering we recommend using Troforte M Native Slow Release fertiliser. Leucadendron argenteum can grow to 10m height and 4m width.

Water: Water well and often when freshly planted, with additional watering during summer.

Sun: Full sun for better silvering, part shade tolerated.

Soil: Sandy, free draining soils making it perfectly suited to the Perth environment. Enrich with organic matter for an added boost to growth. We recommend using Aussie Organics Premium Soil Conditioner prior to planting.
