Pennisetum Purple Fountain Grass

Fountain Grass produces soft, feathery flower plumes in late summer and autumn that arch gracefully over the foliage - one of the most naturalistic and movement-filled of all ornamental grasses. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back hard to about 10cm in late winter to encourage strong new growth. Purple Fountain Grass carries burgundy-red foliage through the growing season, with the colour strongest in full sun, and reddish-purple plumes from late summer.
