Pennisetum Purple Petite

Fountain Grass produces soft, feathery flower plumes in late summer and autumn that arch gracefully over the foliage - one of the most naturalistic and movement-filled of all ornamental grasses. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back hard to about 10cm in late winter to encourage strong new growth. Purple Petite is a compact form with deep burgundy-red foliage in full sun that can turn bronze through winter, and long burgundy-pink plumes that fade to cream. It is a sterile hybrid, so it does not set viable seed.
