The Philodendron Hope or the Tree Philodendron, is a hardy native of the tropical regions of South America. In the correct conditions, their deeply lobed leaves can grow up to almost 5 feet. Indoors they can give an immensely tropical feel to any room.
Water: Philodendrons prefer soil that is consistently lightly moist. As epiphytes with aerial roots, they are sensitive to overwatering, so they don't want to sit in soggy soil.
Sun: A partly or fully shaded position in the garden or high light indoors.
Soil: Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal.
