Raspberry Tulameen

Tulameen is a summer-fruiting raspberry, carrying large, firm, bright red berries with a full, sweet raspberry flavour from early to mid summer on canes grown the previous year. It is one of the most widely grown fresh-market varieties for the size and flavour of its fruit. Full sun to part shade - some afternoon shade protection is beneficial in Perth's hotter zones. Well-drained, moisture-retentive soil with plenty of organic matter. Water consistently, especially while the fruit is swelling. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring. Tulameen fruits on second-year canes, so after harvest cut only the canes that fruited to the ground and tie in the new canes for next season's crop.
