Tulbaghia Violacea
Society Garlic is a clumping South African perennial with narrow grey-green leaves that smell of garlic when crushed, and clusters of lilac-pink flowers on tall stems over a long season in summer and autumn. Violacea is the plain form rather than a named cultivar. Full sun to part shade. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Divide congested clumps every few years.
