Virginia Creeper - Parthenocissus Quinquefolia
Commonly known as Virgina Creeper, this excellent deciduous, attached climber is a member of the grape family. Not a true ivy, it’s not invasive but is a prolific grower. Grown as an ornamental, it can rapidly cover walls, buildings, arbours and fences, creating a spectacular feature in autumn when foliage turns yellow to orange to crimson-burgundy before falling off. Virginia creeper can also be used as a groundcover or on rock piles or walls. Can be pruned regularly to keep it from growing where it’s not wanted. Reaches 10-15m height and 3-5m width.
