Wooly Bush - Adenanthos Lighthouse

A beautiful rich coloured variety of Woolly Bush, Adenanthos Lighthouse is an upright small shrub covered in fine silver-grey foliage making it appear and feel soft. This West Australian Native produces unusual jug-shaped red flowers on branch tips during spring. An ideal plant for contrast in gardens or landscapes, its soft foliage creates depth and variation as it is so unique. It can be used as a hedge or specimen shrub, and also makes a wonderful native alternative to a Christmas Tree when grown in a pot or container. Being locally native, it is incredibly hardy and drought tolerant, surviving on very little water once established. Prune as desired to create shape and maintain size. For enhanced growth and flowering we recommend using Troforte M Native Slow Release fertiliser. Adenanthos Lighthouse can grow to 1 metre height and width.

Water: Water well and often when freshly planted. Heat and drought tolerant once established.

Sun: Full to part sun.

Soil: Sandy, free draining soils making it perfectly suited to the Perth environment. Enrich with organic matter for an added boost to growth. We recommend using Aussie Organics Premium Soil Conditioner prior to planting.
