Yucca Desmetiana

Yucca Desmetiana is a dramatic, slow-growing architectural succulent forming a ground-level rosette of sword-shaped, blue-green leaves that eventually develops a short trunk as the plant matures. Where most Yuccas have stiff, sharply pointed leaves, Desmetiana's leaves are more flexible and slightly less aggressive - still architectural and bold, but without the hazard level of the most dangerous Yucca species. The blue-green leaf colour is consistent year-round. Over many years it becomes a genuine specimen plant with real presence. Full sun to part shade. Excellent drainage. Very drought tolerant once established. Minimal fertiliser.
