Camellia Jennifer Susan

Camellias produce spectacular flowers in autumn and winter when little else is in colour. They prefer slightly acidic soil and protection from hot afternoon sun. Part to full shade. Slightly acidic, well-drained but moisture-retentive soil. Mulch heavily. Water consistently. Feed with an acid-forming fertiliser after flowering. Jennifer Susan is a compact selection with soft pink flowers - a good choice for smaller gardens where a full-sized camellia would be too large.
