Fuchsia Bella Evita
Fuchsias carry pendulous, lantern-shaped flowers through the warmer months, and the nectar draws honeyeaters into the garden. They do best out of hard afternoon sun, which makes them one of the better flowering shrubs for a shaded courtyard, a verandah or an east-facing bed. Part shade to filtered sun. Rich, well-drained soil kept moist through summer. Feed through the growing season. Tip-prune to keep the bush dense. Evita is from the Bella series, a compact, semi-trailing bush with deep pink sepals over a white skirt blushed pink, the flowers held facing outward and upward instead of hanging.
